If someone was not raised in wealth, is it possible for them to learn how to become wealthy? The article found at www.voxxi.com starts our discussion today. According to this article, "Due to lack of financial literacy, they get caught in a spider web of fees, high interest rates and predatory practices that drain their already meager incomes."
This is a very difficult issue to solve and it does not just apply to immigrants. With all of the companies out there, how do people know who to trust? When a company seemingly is there to help, how can a consumer distinguish the good from the bad?
Like any issue in our society, I believe the key to solving the problem is education. I would not suggest that people trust any one source. In fact, most people would decide to not listen to others, being fearful that they might be misled. My advice is the opposite. Listen to what everyone has to say. Listen to your parents. Listen to your friends. However, more importantly, listen to the advice given by multiple organizations out there. Let GU be your friend. If you haven't registered as a student of Google University, now is the time to start.
Thanks for visiting and we will see you soon! Be sure to leave comments or questions. Feedback is great and discussion is key.
