4 Tips to Stay Out of Debt

In today's society, it seems keeping up with the Jones family, is a necessity.  But does this really simplify our life and bring us more happiness?

Sure, we want to feel like we are growing but how much more stuff do we need?  According to www.thenation.com, "More than 16 million children in the United States, 22 percent of the country’s kids, live in poverty, the highest total since 1962 and the highest percentage since Bill Clinton took office in 1993."

This statistic puts into light where we really need to place our emphasis from day to day.  An article from blog.womenandco.com gives us some ideas on how to live within your means.  Here are 4 tips that can help you aggresively attack and stay out of debt:
  1. Live within your means
  2. If you don't have the cash to pay for it, don't buy it
  3. Spend money on what you need rather than what you want
  4. Stockpile some cash for an emergency
Do you follow these tips?  Do you have any other suggestions?
